What is Acts One Eight’s mission?

Four New Testament mandates establish the mission of Acts One Eight ... to proclaim the Gospel ... to defend the faith ... to make disciples ... and to equip His people.

I. To proclaim the Gospel to the remotest part of the earth. The Gospel is on our websites as online evangelism … with encouragement and opportunity to believe in Christ. Our main site for this is www.911GOD.org. Evangelism training is provided … along with exhortations to witness on the teaching and devotional sites. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth,” Acts 1:8.

II. To defend the faith. Effective witnessing includes apologetics ... answering questions and making knowledge acceptable through our lives and words.  We provide honest answers to honest questions on www.eSeeker.org … for skeptics and believers. We defend the faith and equip others to do so. “But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence,” 1 Peter 3:15.

III. To make disciples of all the nations. Making disciples is central to Christian obedience. Training believers to follow Jesus as His disciples is provided on www.MyDisciplemaker.org. Its teaching equips believers to become His disciples by abiding in His Word, loving one another with unlimited co-liability, bearing the fruit of new believers, and following Him whatever the cost may be. For an explanation of the difference between a disciple and a believer, visit www.DiscipleOrBeliever.org.

IV. To equip His people for the work of service. Leaders equip His people for His multiplication ministry. We seek to equip disciples to apply and multiply His Word … presenting them to God in an open hand for His choosing and His use. We are online “for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ,” Ephesians 4:11-13.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
