John Morris writes all the teaching, apologetics, and other content of Acts One Eight’s Websites and printed materials. He is a Bible teacher, evangelist, missionary, father of two, and grandfather of four. John has been a Christian for more than 45 years ... married for more than 35 years ... and a full-time Christian worker for more than 25 years. His ministry has been in the USA, Poland, Russia, and England ... and to the remotest parts of the earth via the Internet. Much of his current ministry is as a virtual missionary and Bible teacher in Cyberspace. You may contact him at John@ActsOneEight.org. John accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of ten on March 6, 1956. Before then, when he was in elementary school, his parents decided that he should have a church influence. His grandfather was John Sr. and his father was John Jr. ... he is John 3rd. That may have influenced his unsaved parents to take him to St. John’s in Johnstown, New York. God’s leading was evident ... it was a Christ-honoring church. Both of his parents came to faith through an evangelistic home Bible study hosted by a lawyer from the church. From that point on, John was under the steady influence of a Christian home, the Church, and Sunday school. A few years later, business moved his parents to Saratoga, New York. That caused a church relocation for the family. God led them to a community church pastored by Ray Ortlund. Very soon, John came to faith in Christ ... sitting in his parent’s living room with Ray. After several years in nuclear physics and computers, John began Christian ministry as a volunteer in an evangelism organization in 1969. His full-time ministry began in 1974. He co-founded a home-discussion evangelistic ministry in 1977 ... and founded Acts One Eight in 1985. He has discipled, witnessed, led apologetics discussions and evangelistic meetings, preached, taught seminars, authored training courses, and taught in a Bible school in New York City. His ministry of evangelism and disciplemaking has centered in the US. His missionary work has been to Poland and Russia ... where 30 or more hours of lecture per week were common. His extensive Bible teaching through translators and to English-as-a-second-language students honed his ability to teach the complexities of Scripture in simple terms. That ability is evident in Acts One Eight’s Web sites and printed materials ... making them easier to understand, apply, multiply, and translate. Gail, his wife of over 35 years, also came to faith as a child. They have two children ... both walking with the Lord. Their daughter lives and works in Florida as a missionary disguised as a realtor. Their son, a graduate of Biola and Talbot Seminary (MA and PhD), is the Senior Director of Stewardship and Resource Development at Biola University.
