Why have an Internet ministry?

Jesus said, "Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest,” John 4:35. The world’s cyber-fields are white for harvest. The Internet has dramatically changed our lives ... changed the way we communicate, learn, shop, get news, build relationships, research, and even experience spirituality. Many young people, born into our digital society, have never experienced life without a digital connection. The 2003 online population was ~600 million. That grew to 3 billion in 2014. We must lift up our hearts and look on this expansive opportunity. This borderless electronic mission field is particularly suited to "make disciples of all the nations” and to be His witnesses “to the remotest part of the earth.” Paul wrote, “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ,” Colossians 4:2-3. The Internet is a worldwide 24/7 open door.
